Quality sourcing is the cornerstone of the Rockaway Buying Club. We order from a variety of producers in the tristate area as well as from right here in Rockaway. Our goal is to source organic, local and/or responsibly made products. Below is more information on each of the vendors from which we are currently purchasing.

Edgemere Farm is a half acre urban farm located right here in Rockaway on Beach 45th Street. They grow a variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs + flowers. While the farm is not organic-certified, it is cultivated according to organic standards. Our favorite item from Edgemere... their multicolored fresh eggs! (Pictured above by Beth Perkins).

woodside bakehouse

We source the most delicious granola from Woodside Bakehouse. Made in New York City, the granola is vegan, organic, gluten free, soy free, and refined sugar-free. You can also find Woodside Bakehouse granola bars at several eateries on the Rockaway peninsula.

Eat MUD specializes in making a delicious frozen dessert called, you guessed it, MUD. It's nutrient rich, contains only 4 or 5 ingredients depending on flavor, and is akin to chilled mousse. MUD is vegan, gluten free, and contains no processed sugars. Available in three flavors (coffee, chocolate, and vanilla), this dessert has become a staple for many Buying Club members, made locally in the Rockaways, and is the perfect healthy solution to your sweet tooth cravings.

Coastal craft kombucha

Coastal Craft Kombucha is brewed by our neighbors in Oceanside, Long Island. It's made with filtered water and all organic ingredients, including loose leaf teas, herbs, flowers, cane sugar, and fresh pressed organic fruit and vegetable juices. Our favorite flavor is Calm Seas, a soothing blend of jasmine and green tea, rose, lavender and chamomile flowers.

What started as salmon fishing trips to Alaska amongst friends became a full fledged fisherman owned business that brings wild caught seafood from Alaska to the east coast. We purchase salmon steaks, Pacific cod, halibut and scallops from Wild for Salmon.

lancaster farm fresh cooperative

LFFC is a non-profit organic farmer’s cooperative of over 100 family farmers located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The produce we purchase through LFFC is certified organic unless otherwise noted. Their animal products are from small family farms with small herds and flocks. These animals always have access to pasture and enjoy the freedom of foraging through the grasses with the earth under their feet.

fingerlake farms

Fingerlake Farms brings meat, dairy, vegetables, and other pantry items from New York State farmers and producers to NYC.

regional access

Regional Access is a specialty food distributor based in Ithaca, NY. We source many different items from Regional, including grains, dried fruit, nuts, dairy, beans, and pantry items.
